Homestay provides international students with an opportunity to participate fully in New Zealand family life and learn to speak conversational English.
Many international students report their homestay experience has helped them become independent, self-sufficient and more confident socially.
We take great care in selecting homestay families and in matching each student with a suitable family. The school Homestay Coordinator inspects prospective accommodation and interviews hosts, while all successful candidates are vetted by the NZ Police.
Each student is provided with their own room with a bed, a desk, clothes storage and heating. The family provides three meals a day including a lunch to take to school. School representatives schedule regular visits and engage in ongoing communication with homestay parents to ensure that any support required is always readily available.
