Our mission is to deliver a great all-round education that enables every student to reach for their heights. We offer a broad range of subjects taught by specialist teachers in modern, purpose-built learning spaces.
Timetable Structure
The key philosophy behind our timetable is student choice.
- Junior Students (Years 9–10): Select 12 courses per year: six courses in Semester 1 (Terms 1 & 2) and six in Semester 2 (Terms 3 & 4).
- Senior Students (Years 11–13): Select up to six full-year courses. Classes total 7.5 hours over a two-week period, split into a mix of 60-minute and 90-minute periods.
- Ako Time: Regular morning sessions with your Kaiārahi (learning advisor) for academic guidance, support, and independent study tracking.

If you are coming from overseas, you will find the Kiwi classroom environment to be uniquely interactive, supportive, and practical:
- Active Participation: You are encouraged to ask questions, share opinions, and collaborate in group work.
- Teachers as Guides: Relationships with teachers are respectful yet relaxed. They act as facilitators to help you build critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Independent Learning: You are responsible for managing your own study time, keeping up with coursework, and proactively asking for help when needed.
