Welcome to our school.
WE PROVIDE STUDENTS FROM ALL CULTURES AN ENVIRONMENT FOCUSED ON ACADEMIC SUCCESS AND PERSONAL GROWTH IN AN INSPIRING ALPINE LOCATION.
We have more than 1300 students enrolled in Years 9 – 13 (aged 13 – 19 years old) and our school is rated Decile 10; the highest rating allocated by New Zealand’s Ministry of Education.
Wakatipu High is large enough to offer a specialist curriculum for senior students as well as support for extracurricular activities and sport. We take pride in our safe and supportive learning environment where staff know students by name and our goal is to provide opportunities for all students, whatever their needs, to develop to their full potential by discovering and building on their strengths.
At Wakatipu High School you’ll get personalised learning programmes which take into account your abilities and interests. This specialist approach garners top results; a high percentage of our students qualify for university or further study and many gain scholarships.
